Care & Maintenance

For Quartz

Maintaining your quartz countertop is simple and easy. Simply use water and paper towel to wipe away any spills after food preparation. In addition, you may use a non-abrasive cleaning pad, such as a 3M scotch-Brite, coupled with a glass or surface cleaner to clean up dried and heavy stains.

General Precautions

  • Keep solvents and powerful chemicals off the counter. These chemicals will dull the surface finish.
  • Do not use any sealants or waxes.
  • Do not use abrasive scrubs. Always go for non-scratch pads
  • Do not use knives directly on the quartz surface. Always use a cutting board.
  • Do not place hot skillets or roasting pans directly onto the surface. We will always recommend the use of trivets or hot pads.
  • Do not use high-PH cleaners, such as Oven cleaners and concentrated bleach.
  • Minimize direct sun exposure to Quartz. Long-term exposure to direct sunlight may discolor surface finish.
  • Quartz is only for interior applications.

For  Dekton

Dekton requires very low maintenance. Clients can simply clean your Dekton surface by using a non-abrasive sponge with soap and warm water on a regular basis to maintain its beauty and shine for years to come. In addition, any pH balanced general-purpose cleaner may be used. (e.g. Pot and Pan Soap, Dish Soap, Windex®). Dekton’s advanced technology makes its surface extremely resistant to damaging chemicals.

Difficult Spills:

To remove difficult spills, wipe the surface with Pot and Pan Soap and scrub with a Scotch Brite pad and rinse with warm water. For stains that harden as they dry (such as food, gum, nail polish, and paint, remove by gently scraping off of surface (using a blade or putty knife) Thereafter, you may clean using warm water and soap.

General Precautions:

Although Dekton is exceptionally scratch resistant, we always recommend use of a cutting board for 2 simple reasons:

  • Knives or metal household utensils will leave grey marks when cutting directly on the Dekton surface. These marks are called “metal transfer”and can be removed with cleaners; however it is a lot easier to simply cut on a cutting board.
  • Dekton can dull your knives and cooking utensils and it is wise to protect the investment that you have in these items.
